Colon polyps are tiny growths that can be found on the inside of the large intestine.
They are rather common in people by 50 years old and are usually asymptomatic.
Treatment is usually to remove the polyps during a colonoscopy and then have a follow up colonoscopy every few years.
You can reduce your chances of getting polyps or colon cancer by several life modifications such as losing weight, not smoking and limiting alcohol consumption.
